Job Description
The Aircraft Assembler and Production Test Mechanic will support the Boeing 787 production system. The position combines aircraft electrical assembly with functional and production testing. The employee will install wire bundles and electrical components, perform system checks, diagnose faults and ensure work satisfies engineering drawings, safety requirements and Boeing quality standards.
Responsibilities
• Install aircraft wire bundles, connectors and electrical components.
• Perform electrical bonding and grounding work.
• Connect and secure avionics and electrical-system hardware.
• Conduct continuity, insulation and functional tests.
• Troubleshoot aircraft electrical and avionics-system problems.
• Read production drawings, wiring diagrams and work instructions.
• Record completed operations and test results.
• Repair or correct electrical installation discrepancies.
• Maintain tool, foreign-object-debris and workplace safety standards.
• Coordinate with production, quality and engineering teams.
Eligibility
• Relevant aircraft electrical, avionics, manufacturing or military technical experience.
• At least one year of experience troubleshooting avionics, installing wire bundles or diagnosing aircraft electrical systems is preferred.
• Ability to complete Boeing’s required aptitude assessment.
• Ability to work variable production shifts.
• Employer will not provide employment-visa sponsorship.
