Nuclear Engineer I range: USD 120,000–135,000. Nuclear Engineer II range: USD 135,000–165,000. Equity may also be offered.

Job Description

The engineer becomes responsible for an important element of Antares’ deployable microreactor design. Assignments may include reactor physics, instrumentation, shielding, fuels, thermal hydraulics, materials, safety analysis and licensing.

Responsibilities

• Perform nuclear design and analysis for assigned reactor systems.
• Develop technical models, calculations and design documentation.
• Support reactor safety and licensing activities.
• Work with hardware, systems and test engineers.
• Evaluate requirements and communicate design recommendations.
• Support verification and validation of analytical methods.

Eligibility

• Relevant degree in nuclear engineering or a closely related field.
• Understanding of nuclear engineering fundamentals.
• Ability to perform technical modelling and analysis.
• Ability to work onsite in Los Angeles.
• Ability to satisfy US export-control requirements.
