Job Description

The Associate Composites Engineer supports the materials, processes and production systems used to manufacture large aerospace composite structures. Work includes interpreting engineering specifications, resolving manufacturing issues, qualifying composite parts and materials and coordinating with production teams and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Support composite-material and process qualification.
• Interpret engineering drawings and material specifications.
• Investigate composite-manufacturing problems.
• Develop technical dispositions and corrective actions.
• Support large-scale composite production processes.
• Coordinate with manufacturing, quality and supplier teams.
• Maintain engineering records and qualification evidence.
• Recommend improvements to composite products and processes.

Eligibility

• Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
• At least two years of experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Experience interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
• Experience with composites or composite manufacturing.
