Job Description
Boeing is seeking an aviation maintenance inspector to evaluate aircraft maintenance, repair and modification work. The inspector reviews completed tasks, examines aircraft systems and ensures that work complies with engineering instructions, maintenance procedures and regulatory requirements.
The position particularly values powered-aircraft inspection experience involving electrical systems or other complex aircraft systems. It combines hands-on inspection, documentation review, defect identification and verification of corrective actions.
Responsibilities
• Inspect aircraft maintenance, repair and modification work.
• Verify compliance with engineering drawings and maintenance instructions.
• Examine electrical, avionics and complex aircraft systems.
• Identify and document defects or nonconforming work.
• Verify that corrective actions have been properly completed.
• Maintain accurate inspection and quality records.
• Support aircraft safety, regulatory compliance and production quality.
Eligibility
• Requires at least five years of relevant aircraft-maintenance inspection experience or an accepted equivalent.
• An A&P certificate or accredited A&P training may count toward required experience.
• Must complete Boeing’s technical assessment during the selection process.
• Must be able to work variable shifts.
• Must meet Boeing’s employment and safety requirements.
