Job Description
The Avionic Technician will perform aircraft maintenance within Boeing’s military-aircraft support operation at Wattisham. The technician will inspect, test, diagnose and repair aircraft electrical and avionics systems while complying with military airworthiness, quality and safety requirements. The position requires accurate technical documentation and close coordination with engineering, maintenance and customer teams.
Responsibilities
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled avionics maintenance.
• Inspect, test and diagnose aircraft electrical and electronic systems.
• Repair or replace defective avionics components and wiring.
• Use approved maintenance publications, drawings and test equipment.
• Record completed work and maintain configuration documentation.
• Comply with Military Aviation Authority regulations.
• Follow quality-assurance and Safety Management System procedures.
• Support fault investigations and aircraft-return-to-service activities.
• Maintain tools, test equipment and workplace standards.
• Coordinate with supervisors, engineers and Ministry of Defence customers.
Eligibility
• Appropriate aircraft-avionics maintenance qualifications and relevant practical experience.
• Working knowledge of Military Aviation Authority Regulatory Articles.
• Understanding of MRP Part 145 maintenance requirements.
• Ability to obtain United Kingdom Security Check clearance.
• United Kingdom residency is required for the security clearance.
• Candidates must live locally or relocate at their own expense.
• Boeing will not provide employment-visa sponsorship.
