Job Description

The Electrical Design Engineer will support product development of spacecraft Electrical Power Systems at Millennium Space Systems, a Boeing company. The engineer will help convert electrical architectures into manufacturable flight hardware. Work includes satellite power budgets, solar-array and battery sizing, grounding, PCB design, subsystem testing and technical-risk management.

Responsibilities

• Own electrical-subsystem design, analysis and testing for satellite programmes.
• Develop spacecraft electrical-power budgets.
• Size solar arrays and batteries for mission requirements.
• Analyse grounding and electrical-interface issues.
• Integrate mission-assurance requirements into subsystem designs.
• Support PCB and PCBA development.
• Improve designs for manufacturability and production scaling.
• Develop and review electrical test procedures.
• Track and mitigate electrical-subsystem technical risks.
• Review engineering work and provide technical feedback.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• At least one year of relevant experience through employment, coursework, projects or internships.
• At least one year of practical PCB or PCBA design experience.
• Ability to obtain a United States Secret security clearance.
• United States citizenship is required.
• Employer will not sponsor employment visas.
