Job Description
Boeing Commercial Airplanes is recruiting flight-readiness technician inspectors to support the Boeing 787 flight-line quality operation. The position verifies aircraft component installation, functional testing, maintenance and modification work before delivery.
The inspector works around live aircraft and evaluates electrical, avionics, hydraulic and pneumatic systems. The role requires careful documentation, a strong commitment to aircraft safety and the ability to verify that work conforms to approved requirements.
Responsibilities
• Verify and inspect final aircraft-component installations.
• Inspect operational and functional testing of aircraft systems.
• Verify troubleshooting of electrical, avionics, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Inspect maintenance, rework and modification activities before aircraft delivery.
• Support pre-flight and post-flight inspections.
• Document identified defects and verify corrective work.
• Confirm that completed work satisfies quality and airworthiness requirements.
Eligibility
• Must possess relevant aircraft inspection, maintenance or flight-line experience.
• Must be willing and able to work variable shifts.
• Must be able to work safely around operational aircraft.
• Must satisfy applicable export-control requirements.
• Must meet Boeing’s employment and drug-free workplace requirements.
