Job Description

The Flight-Test Manufacturing Engineer will develop fabrication and installation plans supporting aircraft flight-test activities. The engineer will coordinate the production and installation of test equipment, instrumentation, electrical wiring and aircraft modifications. The role connects engineering designs with procurement, manufacturing and aircraft test operations to ensure test hardware is delivered, installed and documented correctly.

Responsibilities

• Create fabrication and aircraft-installation plans for flight-test equipment.
• Plan installation of instrumentation, wiring and data-acquisition hardware.
• Determine whether components should be manufactured internally or externally.
• Coordinate parts and equipment with procurement teams.
• Track components from procurement through installation.
• Review engineering drawings and aircraft-modification requirements.
• Resolve production and installation issues.
• Maintain manufacturing and configuration documentation.
• Coordinate with flight-test, avionics, electrical and manufacturing teams.
• Support aircraft readiness for ground and flight testing.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering or a directly related discipline.
• Relevant manufacturing, aircraft-modification or flight-test planning experience.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and production-planning information.
• Ability to meet United States export-control and security-clearance requirements.
• Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment-visa status.
