Job Description

The engineer joins GM’s Local Planner Controller team and builds motion-planning and vehicle-control technology for Super Cruise.

Responsibilities

Develop autonomous vehicle planning and control algorithms.

Implement optimisation-based vehicle controllers.

Integrate planning and control software with Super Cruise.

Test software in simulation and on target vehicles.

Analyse system performance and safety.

Collaborate with prediction, estimation and vehicle teams.

Eligibility

Relevant robotics, computer, electrical or mechanical-engineering degree.

Professional robotics or autonomous-systems experience.

Strong C++ programming and mathematical optimisation skills.

Understanding of motion planning and feedback control.

Experience developing real-time production software.
