Official salary range for major California metropolitan areas. The position may also be based in Fort Worth, where the applicable range can differ.

Job Description

The engineer leads mechanical and electrical integration of airborne data-acquisition systems, telemetry and prototype hardware for flight-test programmes.

Responsibilities

Design flight-test instrumentation installations.

Develop aircraft structural modifications.

Select and integrate airborne data-acquisition hardware.

Design mounting, cooling and heating provisions.

Support telemetry and signal-conditioning systems.

Lead installation, ground testing and flight-test readiness.

Eligibility

Relevant mechanical, aerospace or instrumentation-engineering degree.

Professional flight-test or instrumentation experience.

Experience designing aircraft hardware installations.

Understanding of aircraft structures and data-acquisition systems.

US citizenship and ability to obtain the required security clearance.
