Job Description
The engineer leads mechanical development of precision optical payload structures, mechanisms and assemblies within Lockheed Martin Space’s Optical Talent Center.
Responsibilities
Lead opto-mechanical system design.
Develop precision optical mounts and structures.
Perform mechanical, thermal and structural trade studies.
Coordinate optical alignment and integration.
Support environmental testing and payload qualification.
Mentor engineers and lead technical reviews.
Eligibility
Advanced mechanical or opto-mechanical engineering experience.
Relevant engineering degree.
Experience delivering precision hardware through design and qualification.
Ability to work onsite in Louisville.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.
