Job Description

The component engineer supports hardware design, component selection, qualification, obsolescence management and production engineering.

Responsibilities

Evaluate mechanical and electro-mechanical components.

Review specifications and component qualification data.

Support component selection and design reviews.

Investigate component failures and corrective actions.

Manage component obsolescence and replacements.

Coordinate with suppliers, design and quality teams.

Eligibility

Relevant mechanical, materials or electrical-engineering qualification.

Professional component-engineering or hardware experience.

Ability to evaluate technical specifications and qualification data.

Strong supplier and cross-functional communication skills.

Ability to satisfy programme citizenship and clearance requirements.
