Job Description

The engineer performs structural analysis to demonstrate that aerospace hardware satisfies strength, stiffness, fatigue and mission-performance requirements.

Responsibilities

Perform stress, strength and structural analyses.
Build and evaluate finite-element models.
Assess static, dynamic, fatigue and fracture requirements.
Support design reviews and structural testing.
Document margins of safety and analysis results.
Resolve structural design and production issues.

Eligibility

Degree in aerospace, mechanical, civil or structural engineering.
Professional structural or stress-analysis experience.
Experience applying engineering mechanics to complex hardware.
Ability to meet applicable programme-access requirements.
