Job Description

The Materials and Processes Engineer develops analytical models used to evaluate aerospace materials, electronics and structural components. The engineer applies finite-element methods, multiphysics tools and engineering fundamentals to predict performance, identify technical risks and support design decisions.

Responsibilities

• Develop finite-element and multiphysics engineering models.
• Analyse material, structural, thermal and electrical behaviour.
• Select appropriate modelling methods and boundary conditions.
• Correlate analytical results with test or experimental data.
• Investigate material and component performance problems.
• Document assumptions, methodologies and results.
• Communicate complex analyses to engineering teams and customers.
• Recommend design or material improvements based on analysis.

Eligibility

• Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
• Experience with finite-element analysis.
• At least five years of experience with applicable engineering-analysis tools.
• Ability to work onsite in El Segundo or Los Angeles.
• Candidate must live locally or relocate at their own expense.
