Job Description
The Simulation and Modelling Engineer develops and maintains performance models for advanced missile and weapon systems.
The work encompasses early feasibility studies, concept proving, design trade-offs, hardware testing, trials programmes and post-trial evaluation.
Responsibilities
Develop mathematical models of high-performance dynamic systems.
Create and maintain missile and weapon-system performance models.
Conduct feasibility and concept-proving studies.
Perform design-development and trade-off analyses.
Verify and validate simulation models.
Support ground tests, hardware tests and trials programmes.
Analyse results following trials.
Produce technical reports and modelling evidence.
Eligibility
Relevant degree or equivalent experience in engineering, mathematics, physics, computer science or a related technical discipline.
Experience or demonstrable ability in mathematical modelling, simulation or dynamic-system analysis.
British citizenship or dual UK nationality with British citizenship is required.
Successful candidates must undergo HMG Baseline Personnel Security Standard checks.
