Job Description

The manager leads a team responsible for embedded mission-system software design, development, integration, verification and release. The role establishes project plans, engineering goals, Agile metrics and technical oversight.

The manager coordinates with systems, hardware, quality, customers and suppliers while developing engineering talent and maintaining safety-critical software standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of embedded software engineers.
• Manage software planning, cost, schedule and technical performance.
• Oversee software design, integration and testing.
• Track Agile metrics and programme performance.
• Coordinate verification, validation and software releases.
• Implement DevSecOps and modern development practices.
• Recruit, mentor and develop engineering personnel.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Software-team leadership experience is required.
• At least three years of real-time, near-real-time or embedded-systems experience is required.
• Must possess an active U.S. Secret clearance and be eligible for Top Secret clearance.
• Must complete Boeing’s First-Line Leader Assessment.
