Official starting rate is USD 27.55 per hour, with potential progression to USD 45.04 per hour under the applicable collective bargaining agreement.

Job Description

The NDI Inspector performs ultrasonic testing on aerospace materials, components and assemblies. The inspector configures inspection equipment, follows controlled procedures, evaluates ultrasonic indications and documents results used to determine product acceptance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare components for ultrasonic inspection.
• Configure and calibrate ultrasonic-testing equipment.
• Conduct inspections according to approved procedures.
• Interpret signals and identify material discontinuities.
• Compare results with engineering acceptance criteria.
• Document inspection findings and quality records.
• Maintain equipment, reference standards and certifications.
• Support investigation of rejected components.

Eligibility

• Associate degree in nondestructive testing, relevant completion certificates or NDI trade-school qualification.
• At least 40 hours of formal ultrasonic training.
• Ability to provide diplomas, certificates or official transcripts.
• Ability to work any assigned shift.
