Job Description

The NDI Specialist III serves as a senior technical authority for nondestructive inspection. The specialist maintains procedures, supports certification and recertification, prepares for regulatory and customer audits and provides technical oversight for eddy-current, ultrasonic, magnetic-particle, penetrant and radiographic methods.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical authority for eddy-current inspection.
• Develop and approve NDI procedures and techniques.
• Support personnel testing, certification and recertification.
• Conduct or oversee complex material inspections.
• Prepare for Nadcap, AS9100, FAA and customer audits.
• Review inspection records and resolve technical discrepancies.
• Support in-service inspection development.
• Train and guide Level I and Level II personnel.

Eligibility

• At least three years in an Eddy Current NDI Level III role.
• At least ten years in an NDI Level II role.
• Required NAS 410 classroom-training hours for each certified method.
• Valid NAS 410 Level II or Level III certification.
• Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Ability to work any shift or alternate workweek required by the recertification process.
