Job Description
Boeing Commercial Airplanes is seeking an optical instrument technician to support precision measurement systems. The technician maintains and calibrates optical instruments that contribute directly to aircraft production quality and safety.
The position includes troubleshooting electronic and computerised systems, testing software and equipment, repairing precision instruments and verifying that measurement systems meet Boeing standards.
Responsibilities
• Maintain and calibrate precision optical instruments.
• Troubleshoot electronic and computer-controlled measurement systems.
• Repair, modify and install optical-measurement equipment.
• Test software and equipment against Boeing standards.
• Record calibration, maintenance and repair results.
• Work with engineering and production teams.
• Verify the accuracy and reliability of measurement systems.
Eligibility
• Relevant optical, electronic, instrumentation or calibration experience is required.
• Must be capable of detailed precision work.
• The role may require corrected or uncorrected 20/20 vision.
• Must be willing to work different shifts.
• Must meet Boeing’s safety and employment requirements.
