Job Description
The manager oversees the daily work of a combined mission-systems and software-engineering team. Responsibilities include staffing, technical execution, cost, schedule, risk management and transition of new technologies into production.
The role develops engineering personnel and ensures delivery of high-quality software and mission-system capabilities.
Responsibilities
• Lead mission-system and software development teams.
• Oversee design, integration, testing and delivery.
• Manage programme cost, schedule and technical performance.
• Establish performance metrics and mitigate risks.
• Plan staffing and engineering-resource requirements.
• Develop and retain engineering personnel.
• Support technology transition into production.
Eligibility
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification is required.
• Previous leadership or large cross-functional project-management experience is required.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Must possess an active U.S. Top Secret clearance.
• Must complete Boeing’s First-Line Leader Assessment.
