Official California base-pay range. The successful candidate may also qualify for an annual performance bonus and equity awards.

Job Description

The engineer develops high-performing vehicle restraint systems within Rivian’s Interior Engineering organisation, balancing safety, packaging and manufacturing requirements.

Responsibilities

Develop seat-belt and occupant-restraint systems.

Create component requirements and engineering specifications.

Perform packaging and mechanical design activities.

Support crash testing and safety validation.

Coordinate component development with suppliers.

Resolve launch, manufacturing and quality concerns.

Eligibility

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline.

Extensive automotive restraint or occupant-safety experience.

Experience delivering components from concept to production.

Knowledge of crash-safety regulations and validation processes.

Ability to travel to vehicle and component launch locations.
