Job Description
The Senior Nondestructive Test Technician develops, applies and oversees advanced inspection methods used to identify material and structural defects without damaging components. The role supports ultrasonic, eddy-current and radiographic testing, certification activities, technical procedures and aerospace-composite inspection.
Responsibilities
• Develop and interpret nondestructive-testing procedures.
• Conduct or oversee ultrasonic, eddy-current and radiographic inspections.
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications and inspection standards.
• Evaluate inspection results and identify material discontinuities.
• Train and supervise trainee, Level I and Level II personnel.
• Prepare NDT certification training and examinations.
• Audit inspection facilities for regulatory and procedural compliance.
• Document results and recommend corrective actions.
Eligibility
• High-school diploma or equivalent.
• Formal and documented NDT training and experience or military equivalent.
• Current ASNT Level III certification in ultrasonic, eddy-current or radiographic testing.
• More than five years interpreting engineering technical information.
• More than five years developing or interpreting technical policies and procedures.
• Ability to work first, second or third shift as required.
