Job Description

The Senior Quality Technician performs laboratory testing of aerospace raw materials. The technician prepares composite and metallic specimens, conducts fibre, void and resin-content testing and operates tensile machines, elemental analysers and machining equipment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare composite and metallic specimens for testing.
• Conduct fibre, void and resin-content analysis.
• Operate tensile-testing machines.
• Operate elemental-analysis equipment.
• Machine and prepare samples using CNC and conventional equipment.
• Record, analyse and report laboratory results.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and quality records.
• Identify material-quality issues and support investigations.

Eligibility

• Between five and nine years of raw-materials testing experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US Department of Defense security clearance.
• Ability to work onsite in the Wichita materials-testing environment.
