Job Description

The Software Architect provides senior technical leadership for complex aerospace software. The architect develops software architectures that satisfy system requirements and constraints, leads architectural trade studies and guides teams developing flight-management, navigation, control and real-time software.

Responsibilities

• Define software architectures and detailed technical strategies.
• Translate system requirements and constraints into software designs.
• Lead architecture trade studies and business-case evaluations.
• Guide development, integration and verification teams.
• Define software interfaces and integration approaches.
• Support planning, estimation and statement-of-work development.
• Identify and resolve complex architectural problems.
• Communicate architecture decisions across engineering organisations.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree.
• At least ten years of experience leading software development.
• At least ten years of experience supporting trade studies, business cases, work transfers or statement-of-work management.
• Ability to obtain a US security clearance requiring US citizenship.
• Ability to complete Boeing’s CodeVue technical assessment.
