Job Description

The software certification engineer supports the development and certification of safe, reliable aircraft software. The role establishes certification evidence, reviews software processes and ensures compliance with applicable aviation and government standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop software-certification plans and evidence.
• Review software requirements and design artefacts.
• Assess software-development processes.
• Support compliance with FAA, DoD and NASA requirements.
• Coordinate with software, systems and safety teams.
• Prepare certification reports and technical documentation.
• Participate in software audits and reviews.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification is required.
• Relevant software-certification or safety-critical software experience is required.
• Must satisfy Boeing employment requirements.
• Must complete the required technical assessment.
• Must be able to work virtually within the applicable U.S. work arrangement.
