Job Description
The Experienced NDI Inspector supports Spirit Defense programmes by identifying hidden defects and material discontinuities in aerospace components. The inspector applies approved nondestructive-inspection procedures, evaluates results and ensures compliance with engineering, quality and security requirements.
Responsibilities
• Perform nondestructive inspections on defence aerospace components.
• Conduct ultrasonic and eddy-current examinations.
• Interpret drawings, specifications and inspection procedures.
• Evaluate and document inspection indications.
• Maintain NDI equipment and reference standards.
• Report defects and support corrective-action decisions.
• Maintain certification and inspection records.
• Follow security, safety and quality requirements.
Eligibility
• Ability to obtain a US Secret clearance and Special Programme Access.
• US citizenship is required.
• Ability to work any assigned shift.
• Ability to comply with union and workplace requirements.
