Job Description

Establish technical strategy and experimental programmes for advanced battery materials, chemistries and cell solutions. Translate laboratory findings and failure analysis into decisions influencing GM’s future EV and stationary-storage technology roadmap.

Responsibilities

• Establish battery-material and chemistry research strategies.
• Design and guide experimental programmes.
• Investigate cell-performance and degradation mechanisms.
• Resolve complex material and cell failure modes.
• Evaluate emerging energy-storage technologies.
• Translate research into commercialisation recommendations.

Eligibility

• Advanced degree in Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or a related field.
• Significant battery research and technical-leadership experience.
• Knowledge of electrochemistry and cell development.
• Strong experimental-design and failure-analysis capability.
• Ability to communicate research conclusions across functions.
