The role focuses on gear, bearing and structural-system performance throughout the product lifecycle. The engineer will assess stress, life, durability, load conditions and manufacturability to ensure drive-unit components meet technical and production requirements.
Responsibilities
• Design and analyse gearbox and driveline systems.
• Evaluate gearsets and bearings for stress, life and duty-cycle loading.
• Perform structural-system analysis for electric-vehicle drive units.
• Assess gear and bearing designs for manufacturability.
• Support driveline research and development from concept through production.
• Establish appropriate loads and operating conditions for engineering analysis.
• Communicate analysis findings and recommend mechanical-design improvements.
• Collaborate with design, CAE, validation and manufacturing teams.
Eligibility
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Professional experience analysing mechanical powertrain, gearbox or driveline components.
• Strong understanding of gear, bearing, stress, fatigue and structural-analysis principles.
