Programme Overview
The Artificial Intelligence & Applications MSc is a conversion programme designed for graduates without a computing-science background.
Students study modern artificial-intelligence techniques with particular emphasis on intelligent agents and machine learning.
The programme also examines how AI can be applied within organisations and business contexts.
Students develop practical and transferable skills relevant to AI-enabled transformation across sectors including engineering, finance, manufacturing, transport, government and healthcare.
The degree is designed to provide a pathway into professional artificial-intelligence roles.
Entry Requirements
The programme is designed specifically for graduates without a Computer Science degree.
Applicants normally require at least a second-class honours degree or international equivalent.
Applicants with a Computer Science background are instead directed toward Strathclyde's Advanced Computer Science programmes.

IELTS Academic:
6.5 overall
Minimum 5.5 in each component
Equivalent approved IELTS, TOEFL and PTE qualifications may be accepted.

Scholarship Information
Faculty of Science International Excellence Scholarship: £7,000 to £8,000 for eligible September 2026 postgraduate taught Master's students. Other external AI and technology funding may also be available.
