Programme Overview
UCL's Smart Energy and the Built Environment MSc examines how renewable generation, energy storage, smart control and flexible demand can be integrated into modern energy systems.
Students study energy supply and demand, low-carbon technologies, buildings, energy data, modelling and the social and policy factors influencing energy-system transformation.
The programme combines physical, social and data-driven approaches to smart energy.
Students work on real-world case studies and use data analysis, modelling and multidisciplinary problem-solving to develop practical energy solutions.
The programme prepares graduates to contribute to the transition toward resilient, affordable and low-carbon energy systems.
Entry Requirements
Applicants normally require at least a UK second-class Bachelor's degree or an equivalent international qualification in a relevant discipline.
