Job Description

The Cut & Trim Technician works as part of GE Vernova’s wind-turbine blade manufacturing operation. The position supports moulding, blade-shell preparation, closing, trimming, finishing and assembly while following production, quality and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Cut and trim wind-turbine blade components to manufacturing specifications.
• Grind, scuff, sand and prepare composite blade surfaces.
• Apply fibreglass, resins and approved chemical materials.
• Repair and prepare wind-turbine shells before closing.
• Support moulding, closing, finishing and final assembly operations.
• Install mounting equipment according to customer specifications.
• Inspect completed work for defects and dimensional conformity.
• Follow manufacturing, environmental, health and safety procedures.
• Maintain tools, equipment and a clean production environment.
• Work the assigned Monday-to-Friday night shift.

Eligibility

• Ability to work safely in a wind-turbine blade manufacturing environment.
• Ability to use production tools and follow written manufacturing instructions.
• Ability to handle composite materials, fibreglass and approved chemicals.
• Ability to perform repetitive physical production activities.
• Availability for the Monday-to-Friday 10:00 p.m.–6:30 a.m. shift.
• Ability to meet GE Vernova’s pre-employment requirements.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
