Job Description

The evaluator helps plan, implement and assess occupational health and safety processes under regulatory guidance and JetBlue’s Safety Management System. The position monitors safety initiatives and supports incident investigations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, NFPA, NIOSH and ANSI requirements.
• Support safety planning for facilities, processes and working methods.
• Lead or support 5S and 6S continuous-improvement activities.
• Manage safety information in aviation-quality databases.
• Conduct safety briefings and address employee concerns.
• Lead investigations into injuries, ground damage and maintenance events.
• Analyze incidents, audits and inspections and recommend corrective action.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Health or a related field, or a high-school diploma/GED plus four years of relevant experience.
• At least two years of related professional experience.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to travel to locations and worksites approximately 50% of the time.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a SIDA badge.
• Valid driving licence and acceptable driving record.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
