Job Description
Support the development, processing and microstructural characterisation of novel fuel-cladding materials for GE Vernova’s advanced nuclear-energy programmes. The engineer will prepare technical work plans, coordinate laboratory and shop activities and conduct work under regulated nuclear-quality procedures.
Responsibilities
• Develop processing and characterisation plans for novel fuel-cladding materials.
• Coordinate microstructure analysis with internal teams and external vendors.
• Prepare work plans and participate in pre-job briefings.
• Monitor cladding-processing activities in shop areas.
• Document experimental results and technical conclusions.
• Perform all work under applicable NRC-regulated policies and procedures.
Eligibility
• Relevant engineering or materials-science education.
• Understanding of material processing and microstructural characterisation.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work under regulated procedures and tight deadlines.
• Must be legally authorised to work in the United States.
• Must satisfy applicable export-controlled-information requirements.
