Job Description
The Associate Engineer supports JetBlue’s Operations and Fuel Engineering team by maintaining data models, developing fuel-saving initiatives, improving forecasts and investigating deviations in aircraft fuel consumption.
Responsibilities
• Identify opportunities to reduce aircraft fuel consumption.
• Quantify fuel-saving and carbon-reduction initiatives.
• Develop automated operational reports and dashboards.
• Improve fuel-consumption forecasts.
• Investigate root causes of fuel-burn deviations.
• Develop business cases for new operational technologies.
• Support operational reliability projects.
• Collaborate with Flight Operations, Airports, Dispatch, Finance and Sustainability.
Eligibility
• Relevant bachelor’s degree or accepted equivalent experience.
• One year of analytical experience.
• Proficiency with SQL, Python or R.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Experience with data-visualisation tools.
• Ability to travel approximately 10%.
• Legally authorised to work in the United States without sponsorship.
