Job Description

This lead engineering position supports reactor-physics technology for boiling-water reactors and small modular reactors. The engineer develops neutron-transport methods, nuclear data, engineering software and licensing methodologies used to analyse reactor cores.

Responsibilities

• Develop neutron-transport and cross-section-generation methods.
• Maintain reactor-physics engineering software.
• Support the LANCR lattice-physics code and PANAC core simulator.
• Verify and validate analytical methods and software.
• Prepare software, methodology and licensing documentation.
• Train engineering users and provide technical consultation.
• Support customers and nuclear regulatory activities.

Eligibility

• Relevant engineering or scientific degree.
• Significant reactor-physics or nuclear-methods experience.
• Knowledge of neutron transport and nuclear cross-section generation.
• Ability to work with nuclear-analysis software and documentation.
• Ability to satisfy US export-control requirements.
• Legal authorisation to work in the United States.
