Job Description
This senior engineering-management position leads the design and technical execution of high-voltage and extra-high-voltage substations. The project portfolio includes utility infrastructure and substations used to connect renewable-energy developments to the grid.
Responsibilities
• Lead engineering execution for HV and EHV substation projects.
• Coordinate civil, structural, electrical and protection-and-control disciplines.
• Establish project engineering plans, schedules and technical deliverables.
• Review engineering calculations, specifications and drawings.
• Manage technical interfaces with customers, partners and suppliers.
• Control engineering quality, cost, risk and schedule performance.
• Support renewable-energy interconnection and utility transmission projects.
Eligibility
• Accredited electrical engineering degree or closely related qualification.
• Extensive experience in transmission and distribution substation engineering.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Knowledge of utility or renewable-energy substation projects.
• Ability to manage customer and project interfaces.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
