Job Description

The Senior Principal Engineer develops enterprise engineering strategy and architecture for JetBlue’s highest-impact technology initiatives. The role guides distributed systems, cloud platforms and digital experiences.

Responsibilities

• Define enterprise engineering strategies and technical roadmaps.
• Design scalable distributed and cloud-native systems.
• Guide system-architecture decisions across multiple teams.
• Build platform automation and CI/CD capabilities.
• Evaluate technologies and their impact on operations and customers.
• Lead code and architecture reviews.
• Mentor engineers and improve engineering practices.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related discipline, or JetBlue’s stated experience substitute.
• Six years of software-engineering and distributed-architecture experience.
• Six years of full-stack development using technologies such as Node.js, Java or Angular.
• Expertise in cloud platforms and CI/CD systems.
• Ability to travel internationally and respond to emergencies.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States.
