Job Description

The Technical Field Advisor supports the Steam Power Nuclear Services team. The advisor plans and directs turbine-generator maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting and repair at customer nuclear facilities.

Responsibilities

• Direct turbine-generator inspections and repairs.
• Review engineering drawings, P&IDs and procedures.
• Troubleshoot plant equipment and operating problems.
• Plan labour, tools, materials and outage activities.
• Identify potential failures and recommend future outage work.
• Support warranty administration.
• Enforce nuclear-site and field safety requirements.

Eligibility

• Technical degree or qualifying experience.
• At least three years of relevant turbine-generator or power-plant experience.
• Ability to travel approximately 80% across North America.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays and overtime.
• Ability to obtain unescorted nuclear-site access.
• Legal authorisation to work in the United States.
