Job Description
The technician maintains optimal turbine output through electrical, hydraulic and mechanical troubleshooting, component repair, operational support and accurate service documentation.
Responsibilities
• Complete scheduled and corrective wind-turbine maintenance.
• Repair and replace failed turbine components.
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical and hydraulic faults.
• Perform electrical analysis.
• Document service activity electronically.
• Respond to instructions from site and remote-operations leadership.
Eligibility
• High-school diploma or GED.
• One year of wind-technician experience, or two years of relevant electrical or hydraulic work.
• Ability to pass a technical assessment.
• Valid driving licence.
• Ability to climb towers and handle physical maintenance work.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
