Programme Overview
Cranfield University's Advanced Lightweight and Composite Structures MSc develops specialist expertise in lightweight metallic and composite structures.
Students study composite analysis, thin-walled structures, finite element methods, structural stability, crashworthiness, impact simulation and composite structural design.
The course applies these techniques across aerospace, automotive, motorsport, marine and renewable-energy applications, with particular emphasis on reducing structural mass, fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
Students complete taught modules, an industry-oriented group project and an individual research project.
Entry Requirements
Applicants normally require a UK first- or second-class honours degree or equivalent international qualification.
