Programme Overview
UCL's Advanced Materials Science (Energy Storage) MSc provides specialist postgraduate education in the design, processing, characterisation and application of advanced materials for energy storage and sustainable energy technologies.
Students study advanced materials processing and manufacturing, microstructural control, advanced energy storage, materials characterisation, materials design and discovery, and materials innovation for renewable energy.
The programme links scientific theory with research, engineering applications, innovation and entrepreneurship.
Students develop practical skills in materials processing, battery fabrication, performance testing, experimental design and analysis.
A six-month independent research project allows students to investigate advanced materials for energy conversion, storage and sustainable energy applications in depth.
