Programme Overview
The MSc Mechatronics & Automation combines mechanical engineering, electronics, computing, automation and intelligent-product development.
Students learn how to design and develop multidisciplinary mechatronic systems and automated machines.
Practical projects use digital design, manufacturing and prototyping facilities.
Industry group projects provide experience of solving real engineering problems with commercial organisations.

Entry Requirements
Applicants normally require a first-class or second-class honours degree or international equivalent in a science or engineering discipline.

Faculty of Engineering International Scholarship: £6,000 for eligible September 2026 international Master's students. Dean's International Excellence Awards: £9,000 to £12,000 for selected exceptional postgraduate applicants.
