Programme Overview

ETH Zurich's Master of Science in Robotics, Systems and Control is an interdisciplinary engineering programme focused on the design, modelling, control and operation of intelligent technical systems.

The programme integrates mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and computer science and is particularly suitable for students interested in robotics, autonomous systems, control engineering, perception and computational methods.

Students develop advanced knowledge in areas such as system modelling, control theory, robotics, optimisation, sensing, machine learning and intelligent machines.

The programme carries 90 ECTS credits and is designed to be completed in approximately one and a half years.

Entry Requirements

Applicants should hold a recognised bachelor's degree in a qualifying discipline such as Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, Computer Science or a closely related field.

Applicants must demonstrate sufficient academic preparation in mathematics, engineering fundamentals and programme-specific technical subjects.

Admission is selective and applications are evaluated individually against ETH Zurich's published requirement profile for the Robotics, Systems and Control MSc.

Applicants may be required to complete additional academic requirements if their previous degree does not fully satisfy the programme's prerequisite profile.

English-Language Requirements

The programme is taught in English.

Applicants must provide proof of English-language proficiency at CEFR Level C1 by the application deadline unless they meet ETH Zurich's published exemption conditions.
